August In Kilburn

The house in Mazenod Avenue where Laura lived in the mid 1980’s is across the street from Sacred Heart Church, Kilburn, the biggest Catholic church in the Westminster Diocese. More than 10,000 people attend 18 masses there every Sunday. The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate is a Catholic religious order founded by St. Eugene de Mazenod, a French priest born in Aix en Provence in 1872 and whose most famous adherent was Mother Theresa. She visited the Church in Mazenod Ave. during the time Laura lived there.
